Meet Dr. Dominic J. Chapman
Dr. Chapman earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont and his advanced Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University. He completed his professional residency program at Faxton St. Lukes Hospital in upstate New York where he gained extensive experience in all aspects of comprehensive dental care.
Passionate about ensuring his patients receive compassionate and transformative care, Dr. Chapman holds certification from the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) and is also a certified Invisalign® provider.
When not serving patients, Dr. Chapman loves spending time with his wife, their 1-year-old son, and their adorable dog. Dr. Chapman is very excited to welcome baby number two to the Toothsome Family this Summer!
Meet Dr. Shannon D. Chapman
Dr. Shannon is a Maryland native, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida. She returned home to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University. She completed her General Practice residency at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester, where she developed a passion for creating smile transformations and lasting dental wellness.
Dedicated to helping patients enjoy a relaxing dental experience and modern smile solutions, Dr. Shannon holds a certification from the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) and is also a certified Invisalign® provider.
When not serving patients, Dr. Shannon enjoys trying new recipes, spending time with her husband, their 1-year-old son, and their adorable dog. Dr. Shannon is ecstatic for baby number two to join the Toothsome Family this Summer!
Meet Dr. Joanna Acosta
Dr. Joanna Acosta grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, and dreamed of becoming a dentist since high school. She was always fascinated by the story behind every smile, and the beauty that a contagious smile can bring, physically and emotionally. In pursuit of this dream, Dr. Acosta attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she completed her undergraduate degree. She continued her studies at VCU School of Dentistry to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2019. Dr. Acosta went on to receive her certification in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry after two years of postdoctoral training. She is committed to learning and staying abreast of the latest dental technology in order to provide her patients with the best level of care. Dr. Acosta is a certified Invisalign® provider, and is currently working on earning her FAGD, a distinction that is recognized by only 6% of all general dentists in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Acosta is dedicated to creating an empathetic and educative dental experience that is catered to positively transforming patients' oral health. She approaches dentistry with care and compassion, and strives to restore confident smiles by providing quality treatments. She hopes to inspire those who are seeking dental wellness that it is possible and that you are not alone in this journey!
In her free time, Dr. Acosta loves spending time with her family, playing board games, and foodie adventuring with her fiancé.
